| Description: This course qualifies teachers to bring Orton-Gillingham based multisensory instruction to their classrooms. Structures Orton-Gillingham transforms struggling readers into skilled learners through our multisensory approach. Participants learn to teach: - Anglo-Saxon word study of basic phonetic concepts - Basic to advanced morphology, including Greek and Latin roots and affixes - Vocabulary development - A Three-Part Drill for structured review - Tactile/kinesthetic spelling techniques for phonetic and non-phonetic words - Syllabication for multisyllabic words (8 Syllable Types/3 Syllable Patterns) - Higher-level spelling skills - Fluency-building strategies - Introductory comprehension technique Payment must be received BEFORE registration can be confirmed.
