| Registration Fee: Free for client districts, $170 for non-client districts. | Audience: Audience: Teachers interested in becoming credentialed mentors, OR Mentors/Facilitators who would like to repeat the two-day training to remain current on 2018 changes to the resident educator program | Graduate Credit: One graduate credit hour is available through Ashland University for an additional cost of $286.00 |
| Description: New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the two-day Mentor Academy Training to receive mentor certification. Day 1 focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them in supporting the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. Day 2 focuses on formative/summative assessment, providing feedback and observations for learning. Mentors apply knowledge and skills learned on Day 1 to design, practice and implement differentiated mentoring to support and accelerate the instructional growth and development of the Resident Educator. |
