Child Safety and Violence Prevention Training |

| Description: The Child Safety and Violence Prevention training is now available online. Participants may register at anytime during the course period provided they can complete the required four (4) contact hours. This training will assist teachers in meeting requirements for school professionals, outlined by the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Section 3319.073 and the ODE requirements for Child Abuse Training. The purpose of this training is to assist participants in learning how to identify child abuse as well as student behavioral health issues (including depression, suicidal thinking, substance abuse and bullying). The program will also describe how to seek appropriate community referrals when needed. The following four (4) modules will be completed: 1. Mental and Behavioral Health Issues: An Overview 2. Violence Against Children - Bullying and Child Abuse 3. Alcohol and Drug Use - Abuse and Addiction 4. Depression and Suicide: Important Information for Educators |
