| Description: We will review updates and reminders with identifying English Language Learners, including updates for Title III consortium members. Our guest speaker will be Dr. Jose Salinas from the Ohio Migrant Education Center. Dr. Salinas will help districts to understand and how to identify if they have migrant students. Including going over the definition of a migrant farmworker, migrant vs. immigrant, Title I-C eligibility criteria, the history of migrant education, migrant education programs, services & resources, data on the educational needs of migratory children, state and national migratory trends, and what qualifies as migratory agricultural work. | ||
