Youth Mental Health First Aid |

| Description: Participants in this VIRTUAL session will discuss and learn about Youth Mental Health First Aid. This is an evidenced-based training that consists of instruction, role-play, and collaborative work that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Each participant will be sent a login to a self-paced pre-study (1.5 hrs. on their own prior to May 12 - MANDATORY); and then access to a virtual instructor-led session (9am-3pm w/breaks). Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance, a digital manual, and training evaluation, as well as, participate in a Miami University pre-survey and follow-up post-surveys. Participants will also receive ongoing mental health resources and support. Each participant must have both audio and video technology (i-pad, laptop per each person) to participate. |
